Those " Cardiff " lathes were very nice little machines. They later brought out a modified version known as the Elliot " Omnispeed ". I think " Victoria " also made the later " Elliot " range of milling machines such as the " Omnimill ", " Sturdimill " and the " 70 " series of machines.

hi all i have just purchased a Victoria milling machine and accessories. it is from the 1950s as far as i know and it is universal. Thats as far as my knowledge goes. it has what i think is a dividing head of some kind. .stamped on the chuck although hard to see is the name The cashman chuck co. Hartford Conn.no.834B made in USA.

I am based in India and I have a Elliott U1 Milling Machine in my shop. I am facing a problem which I would like to share. ... My manual is for the first series of Elliot Victoria machines. Gearbox lever arrangement is clearly different to that on older Victoria branded ones, don't recall if there are significant internal changes. Probably not.
