Chromite ore is one of Turkey's major income sources in primary mineral exports. Ferrochrome production of Turkey was different between 2007 and 2011, at 69.73–60.00 metric tons. The demand for chemical-type ores has also increased with the operation of sodium bichromite-producing factories.
