In the kiln system, the material and gas flow in opposite direction. During this process, 211.15 t/h of raw meal and 6.88 t/h of coal are fed to the pyro-processing unit, and only 150.90 t/h of calcined raw meal is transported to the kiln. Approximately 85% of the carbonate breaks down during this process in the surveyed plant.
