The float in the header tank was underwater but not on the bottom of the tank. He raised it manually and it stopped the incoming water. However it stopped it below water level. Also the overflow pipe was leaking in the attic (as well as going outside) and the fibreglass insulation is wet. Plumber/ heating guy can't come for a few days.
