Introduction to Concrete

Summary. Concrete is a composite material that consists essentially of a binding medium in which are embedded particles or fragments of aggregates. Plain concrete made of Portland cement and aggregate is usually called the first generation of concrete. The second generation of concrete refers to steel bar-reinforced concrete.
