Jan 30, 2020. #1. First post here. I've recently acquired a 1924 Buffalo Springfield horizontal boiler 10 tonne Steam Roller. It's mostly complete, except for the original throttle valve and governor. It is in Ireland, having travelled from Canada, I don't know of any others in Ireland, I believe there may be at least one in the UK.

So thats still a mystery what the origional Buffalo Springfield setup was to hold the ash and control the combustion air. best information from here would suggest a loose fit steel plate and use of the firebox door.
